Shannon Richey –
I moved into a very old high-rise and within 2 months I unfortunately saw bites. I’m a person who gets welts and painful itching. Knowing I couldn’t just turn around and move out, I decided to fight. Between the building’s exterminator and the Harris products, the problem was tackled. After it seemed the bb problem was eliminated, I continued to spray with the Harris product at least once a month whether it be out of preparedness or paranoia. One note: I purchased this twice at local Walmart and the bottle died halfway through. Contacted Harris and they mailed me a new one right away. From now on I’m only purchasing on their website. If you have bed bugs get on it right away with everything you’ve got (including Harris products!) they *can* be eliminated.

Would this work on a couch? Or should it not be sprayed on there (under the couch, in seams/cracks)? Or just not the surface you’re touching?

Hello,
This product should be sprayed directly on the affected areas. The product is odorless and stain-free. Please allow the spray to dry before reusing any furniture and keep out of reach of pets and children at all times.
Thanks,
Riley

This stuff really works well. I first sprayed everything and left the room. Then I sprayed the fabrics, mattress and box spring. I sprayed/soaked a paper towel and wiped the bed frame, sprayed the wheel cavities, the headboard, cabinets, lamp stands, dresser and chested drawers. On the carpet I used the hand bellow that came with Harris’ bed bug Diatomaceous Earth and spread it, wall to wall. It was a pretty uneven spread. There it stayed for three weeks. Then I repeated it. I’ve no new bites for 2 months. I hope that was it.

Hello,
The product has a residual so it is not necessary to spray the same areas daily or weekly. The frequency of application and degree thereof, is heavily dependent on the level of infestation you have – for more personalized advice, please contact our 800-637-0317 and ask for a customer service rep.
Thanks,
Riley

Is this product safe to use with a cat in the home? I cam remove the cat while spraying but is it harmful for the cat to be around while the the product is drying and around the residual? Your time and response is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your inquiry. When spraying Harris Egg Kill and Resistant Bed Bug Killer have other people and pets out of the room and allow approximately 2 hours to dry. Spray surfaces just until damp, not puddling or dripping. All may return when completely dry. Your cat may return to full use of the room.
